The U12’s Football NSW Country Cup will be played in Griffith from Saturday to Monday.

Orange, Southern Tablelands, Dubbo, Far South Coast, Shoalhaven and Albury will be playing the Griffith representative side at Ted Scobie Oval.

U12 Griffith & District Representative coach, Chris Piva said players are in good form, after winning the Western Division gala last weekend, atop of performing well in the Riverina Branch Title and Canberra.

Mr Piva is confident the team is ready.

They play five to six hours of football a week outside of any personal practice. “They definitely have a winner’s mindset. They’re very dedicated and try their best to play the game well,” Mr Piva said.

“Every kid plays at their best.”

He said games between Albury and Wagga have been very competitive in the past, predicting that all games will be tough this weekend.

“It’s good to have a challenge for the kids with these sorts of games, as they can’t predict what to expect,” he said.

It will be a points-based ladder. All teams will play each other on Saturday, with the semi final on Sunday followed by the grand final on Monday.
