RECENT WORKS On Display At Griffith Regional Art Gallery

Griffith Regional Art Gallery’s latest exhibition RECENT WORKS by Urana-based artist Robert Sherwood Duffield was launched at the gallery on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:30 pm.

Duffield was on hand on the night to talk about the selection of his works that make up the exhibition as people mingled, enjoyed nibbles and Dee Vine Estate wines and explored the display.

An award-winning artist, Duffield has exhibited on both a national and international level and his work is held in both public and private collections.

Duffield’s flower works are from his residency at the TANKS Arts Centre in Cairns.

‘Grevillea’ won second prize at the Federation Photography Awards in the Nature section and the Grevillea time-based work was a finalist in the Martin Hanson Awards at Gladstone Regional Gallery.

His colour works have been produced from a decades-long investigation and celebration of colour.

All the included works inform aspects of Duffield’s practice and understanding of himself and the world.

The exhibition will be on display until March 26.
