Record-breaking Bacchus Fun Run

Podium stars for the Bacchus Fun Run 2021 are Aleara Wallace and Ed Langdon for the women’s and men’s 10km Enduro events.

Over 450 men, women and children participated in this year’s Bacchus Fun Run held on Friday, April 2 at Lake Wyangan.

President of the Griffith Feral Joggers said it was a great day. “Aleara Wallace won the 10km female Enduro for the sixth time in a row,” he said.

“Ed Langdon set a new course record for the male 10km Enduro with 32:55.”

Participants could choose from three events: 8km walk around the lake.

5km spring around the picnic area and through the sailing club. 10km Enduro course taking in the picnic area and a lap of the lake.

Ed Langdon’s record-breaking 32:55 earned him first place in the 10km Enduro male event, with Aidan Fattore taking second with 35:04 and Chris Fuchs nabbing third with 35:27.

Aleara Wallace ran the 10km Enduro female event in 38:28, with Francesca Bellicini earning second place with 44:02 and Sarah Keenan taking third place with 45:23.

The three top place getters for the 5km senior male sprint event were Aidan Hill with 18:21 in first, Daniel Rogato with 12:12 in second and Lachlan Date in third with 19:23.

Taking top billing in the 5km senior female sprint event was Katherine Maundrell with 22:30, followed by Rachel Giason with 24:02, and Philippa Delgado with 24:29.
