Registration For Griffith’s Christmas Light Competition Open

Now that we’ve reached that part of the year when we’re counting the weeks to Christmas, it is time to register for Griffith City Council’s Christmas Light Decoration competition.

It is the perfect opportunity to showcase your holiday spirit and creativity, and there are lots of wonderful prizes up for grabs, including:

• Mayor’s Choice - $500 Visa Gift Card;

• People’s Choice - $500 Visa Gift Card;

• Merriest Mailbox - $100 Visa Gift Card; and

• Best Dressed Street - Bragging Rights.

Griffith Mayor Doug Curran encouraged all residents to join the celebration by decorating their homes, mailboxes and streets.

“I’ll be looking for displays that capture the joy and magic of the holiday season,” Mayor Curran said.

“Whether it’s classic lights, creative themes or something uniquely ‘Griffith’, I want to see it all.”

Council thanked Soul Property for sponsoring this year’s competition and helping bring more festive cheer to the community and encouraging greater participation.

Residents can register their home, mailbox or street at https://yznxefvc.paperform.co/ before they close on Friday, November 29, with community voting commencing on December 2.

Winners will be announced on December 23.
