Sisters Bitty and Lucky Singh are approaching the third anniversary of their business operation in August. Don’t be fooled by their youthful appearances, these two passionate women are both fully qualified laser therapists.
Pure Laser offers a wide range of services, from IPL permanent hair removal, skin rejuvenation treatments, everything eyebrows, skin tightening, skin needling, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, BB Glow and tattoo removal.
They also run monthly specials and accept AfterPay.
Lucky was working in the industry in Sydney, but after a relationship breakdown she had what she terms a ‘quarter-life crisis.’ In other words, she had an epiphany.
Having always wanted to start her own business, she joined forces with sister Bitty and turned her dream into a reality. Lucky and Bitty said their main aim was to make the services affordable to everyone.
“We wanted to bring city prices to Griffith,” they said. Many people were travelling to Wagga because it was cheaper.”
Lucky and her sister Bitty really connect with single mums as they are also single mums themselves. They urge all clients not to miss out on treatments because of a lack of childcare, children are more than welcome to the clinic.
The sisters’ cultural background is Punjabi. Lucky speaks fluent Punjabi and Hindi, Bitty is also fluent in Punjabi.
“We get a lot of clients who don’t speak English.”
Their team includes beauty therapist Simone Dal Bon, who specialises in all things eyebrows. She offers eyebrow mapping, lamination, henna, tinting, waxing and threading.
Apprentice Jessi Knowles is currently working her way through a Cert IV in Beauty Therapy. A cosmetic nurse comes over from Wagga to administer anti-aging and filler injections every month.
Emma Ward will be at the clinic from June 18th to the 20th offering eyebrow microblading.
The sisters are currently working on a Bachelor of Science and are working on a line of skin care specifically designed with darker skin tones in mind. The clinic offers extended hours to make it easier for working clients to have time for their treatments.
They’re open six days, Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. There are also no upfront payments, clients can pay for their services as they go and consultations are free.
