Summer Reading Challenge Kicks Off
Children aged between 6 and 12 years are urged to register for the Griffith City Library’s Summer Reading Challenge commencing on Monday, December 4.
Griffith City Library’s annual Summer Reading Challenge kicks off on Monday, December 4.
This free program is open to children aged between 6 and 12 years and encourages them to continue reading through the holidays.
Every four hours of reading entitles a participant to one entry into the weekly draws.
The fun doesn’t stop there, though.
There will be a number of challenges requiring participants to do a little something extra.
Young readers might have to find secret words, write a book review or do some problem solving.
If you can’t access the internet at home, and any of the challenges require you to, just drop into the library and the friendly staff will help you out.
The eight-week challenge finishes on January 26, 2024.
Prizes will be awarded each week:
- Week 1 - $50 Collins Booksellers voucher
- Week 2 - $50 Funland voucher
- Week 3 - $50 Toyworld voucher
- Week 4 - $50 Kmart voucher
- Week 5 - $50 EB Games voucher
- Week 6 - $50 Target voucher
- Week 7 - $50 Kmart voucher
- Week 8 - $50 Target voucher
Winners of the weekly prizes will be contacted by the friendly team at Griffith City Library and their names will be posted on the library’s social media sites.
Happy reading.
