Tempo draws heavily on the traditional knockabout humour of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus.

The Flying Fruit Fly Circus will perform its latest awe-inspiring extravaganza Tempo at Griffith Regional Theatre on Tuesday, April 9.

Directed by Jake Silvestro with an original score by Ania Reynolds, Tempo features an extraordinary ensemble of young performers aged 12 to 18 years who will flip, juggle, balance and dive their way into the audience’s heart.

Shifting between striking aerial acts and highly choreographed acrobatic chao, Tempo draws heavily on the traditional knockabout humour of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus - a trademark of the company over many years.

Suitable for families of all ages, this show has it all - magic, slapstick, juggling, balancing, acrobatics and aerials tumble in, out and around the concert grand piano.

Griffith Regional Theatre Manager Marg Andreazza said The Fruities were always a hit.

“We’re thrilled to have them back in Griffith,” Ms Andreazza said.

“The young artists in this show are so incredibly skilled for their age, it is a real testament to the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, being one of the world’s premier youth performing arts companies.”

Patrons are invited to stay back for a question and answer session following the performance where young audiences can learn more about the process of making the show, mastering the skills and gaining insight into life at the circus school.
