You may just find the perfect Christmas gift at the local arts and crafts exhibition, Objects of Desire.

Griffith Regional Art Gallery will wrap up its 2022 program with a wonderful celebration to launch Objects of Desire, a local arts, crafts and artisan exhibition focused on handcrafted gifts, on Thursday, December 1.

GRAG Coordinator, Ray Wholohan said the Objects of Desire exhibition had become a very popular part of the gallery’s annual exhibition program.

“The exhibition is geared towards the tradition of purchasing beautiful, hand-crafted gifts for family, friends nad loved ones during the lead up to Christmas and the holiday season,” Mr Wholohan said.

“We will have sparkling wine provided by our wonderful sponsors, Dee Vine Estate and nibbles to set the mood while visitors pursue the carefully selected artisan gifts made by local artists, and quality handmade products in our giftshop,Mr Wholohan said.

He reminded patrons that the National Contemporary Jewellery Award would also still be on display.

“This is a great opportunity to catch up on this exhibition while browsing the locally-made products,” Mr Wholohan said.

Griffith Regional Art Gallery Manager, Margaret Andreazza sai the gallery would have a range of beautiful products for sale from ceramics and textiles to jewellery.

‘Our gallery shop also has cards, puzzles, books, stationery, prints and much more,” Mrs Andreazza said.

Mr Wholohan said that with so many thoughtfully and finely crafted works created by our region’s many talented crafts people, he was sure that visitors would be able to find the perfect Christmas gift for just about everyone and support local artists and small businesses at the same etime.

The event is free, but bring your spending money to purchase those gifts on Thursday, December 1 between 6 pm and 8 pm.
