The Summer Reading Challenge Returns To Griffith

Griffith City Library’s Summer Reading Challenge starts on Monday, December 2.

The Summer Reading Challenge is back at Griffith City Library.

This free program opens on Monday, December 2 and is open to children aged 6 to 12 years.

During the course of the program, youngsters are encouraged to read as much as possible until January 26, 2025.

Every two hours of reading entitles the child to one entry into the Library’s weekly draws.

There will also be bonus entries along the way for those who can locate secret words, write a book review or solve some problems.

Any participant who is unable to access the internet can drop into the library and get some help.

Prizes for the weekly draws include:

Week 1, December 2 to 8 - $50 Griffith Aquatic & Leisure Centre;

Week 2, December 9 to 15 - $50 Griffith City Cinemas/Star Bowling;

Week 3, December 16 to 22 - $50 Collins Booksellers;

Week 4, December 23 to 29 - $50 Target voucher;

Week 5, December 30 to January 5, 2025 - Yeti Drink Bottle;

Week 6, January 6 to 12 - $50 EB Games voucher;

Week 7, January 13 to 19 - Frank Green drink bottle; and

Week 8, January 20 to 26 - $50 Griffith Regional Theatre voucher.

Staff at Griffith City Library will contact weekly winners and post the details of the win on their social media sites.
