Time To Dust Off Your Passport
Restrictions are lifting and people are already booking their next holiday.
Borders are opening and international travel is set to resume on November 1 and people are already contacting their travel agents to book their next holiday.
Chontell Giannini from iTravel Griffith said that things were moving rapidly.
“Everything seems to be opening up really quickly,” Ms Giannini said.
“I just heard that Queensland might be opening up mid-December.”
“Just today I’ve had 3 quotes for overseas holidays.”
Ms Giannini had already had a couple of international trips booked for next year.
She advised people wanting to get away not to tarry.
“Availability is hard,” she said.
“If people are planning to travel, don’t wait.”
Ms Giannini’s other recommendation was that travel insurance was very important, particularly due to COVID-19.
“People need to have insurance,” she said.
“Each destination and policy is different.”
Anyone wanting to travel should do their homework around travel insurance, particularly with regard to what cover is available should you contract COVID-19 while overseas and need to isolate.
