Griffith Regional Theatre is excited to host international ballet company the Grand Kyiv Ballet of Ukraine with two delightful ballets - Forest Song & Don Quixote on Thursday, May 23.

Theatre Manager Marg Andreazza said they were so excited to see these two ballets brought to life in Griffith.

“We are delighted the Grand Kyiv Ballet has included Griffith in their 2024 tour,” Ms Andreazza said.

“When they toured Australia in 2023 with these ballets, they received standing ovations wherever they went.”

Forest Song is a classical Ukrainian ballet, composed 75 years ago.

It is a magical love story, full of mysticism alongside the conflict between the human world and nature.

It tells the tale of the fearless Mavka, who longs for peace in her world, just as Ukraine long for peace in her country today.

The second act will feature the much-loved romantic-comedy Spanish ballet Don Quixote.

This flamboyant and festive ballet tells the story of a courageous but troubled man’s quest for love.

Featuring gypsies, bull-fighters, breath-taking dancers in lavish costumes, and an inspiring music score, Don Quixote is a not-to-be-missed experience.

Ms Andreazza said they were two sensational performances of magnificent ballet in one night.

“The audience is in for a real treat from these international superstars of dance,” she said

Forest Song and Don Quixote will be performed at Griffith Regional Theatre on Thursday, May 23 and tickets are available at www.griffithregionaltheatre.com.au or by calling in to the Box Office or phoning 6962 8444.
