V8 Superboats Return To Lake Wyangan

Lake Wyangan will come alive with all the hype that goes along with the V8 Superboats tomorrow, February 11.

We haven’t seen them since before the pandemic hit, but tomorrow Penrite V8 Superboats will return to Lake Wyangan for a full day and night of high-speed jet boat racing.

That’s right, round six of the 2022 Australian V8 Superboats Championship will be contested at the lake, with qualifying from 2:45 pm ahead of the finals which will begin at 8:20 pm.

Tickets are available online or at the gate.

The event will be live-streamed and a range of interviews and videos can be viewed at www.facebook.com/V8Superboats for those who can’t attend. Results and updates will be posted on the Facebook page as well.

Practice laps begin at 1:50 pm, with qualifying rounds occurring every 55 minutes from 2:45 pm.

There will be an hour-long dinner break from 7:20 pm before the real action begins at 8:20 pm.

Ticket prices are:

  • Family (two adults, two children), $70;
  • Adult, $30;
  • Pensioner, $25;
  • Child aged 6 to 16, $10; and
  • Children under 6, free.
