IMAGE: Larger than life, Pat Pittavino was a visionary who gave shape to several organisations.

Griffith Business Chamber extends its heartfelt condolences to Pam, Katherine, Allison, Erin and their families on the passing of good friend and colleague, Pat Pittavino.

Close friend and President of Griffith Business Chamber, Paul Pierotti said Mr Pittavino would be sadly missed.

“I’m just devastated at the loss of my friend,” Mr Pierotti said.

“I was honoured to have spent over 20 years in his presence and worked alongside him on many projects.

Mr Pittavino served on many committees and boards and was knowledgeable on many subjects.

“Pat’s passion, and vision for our community, led him to great achievements and his contribution to the Griffith community will never be forgotten,” Mr Pierotti said.

“He was a visionary who gave shape to several organisations.”

Mr Pittavino’s community involvement included:

  • Griffith Business Chamber Executive 18 years
  • Griffith City Councillor from 1995 to 2009
  • Served on multiple Community and Council committees
  • President Post School Options 2 Years and 2 more years on Committee
  • RDA Riverina Executive 2 years
  • Apex President, District Governor, State Executive 20 years
  • Chairman of Griffith Taxi Board
  • Managing Director of multiple local telecommunications companies wholesale, retail and installations for over

20 years.

  • Engineering College Telecommunications technician
  • 17 Years Telecom Australia responsible for all Griffith region telecommunications

Mr Pierotti said Pat was clearly ahead of his time and thought outside the square.

“A leader. An entrepreneur. A mentor to some. A unique person who aspired to make change and achieve more,” Mr Pierotti said.

“Never afraid to make some noise and stand up, speak out, but always had his community at heart.”
