Vote For Your Favourite Christmas Light Display

Voting for the Annual Christmas Light Decoration Competition officially opened on Monday, December 2 and will remain open until December 22.

Residents and visitors are invited to vote for their favourite displays across several categories, with some amazing prizes up for grabs.

This year’s prize categories include:

• Mayor’s Choice - $500 Visa Gift Card;

• People’s Choice - $500 Visa Gift Card;

• Merriest Mailbox - $100 Visa Gift Card; and

• Best Dressed Street - Bragging Rights.

Winners will be drawn and announced on December 23.

Griffith Mayor Doug Curran encouraged everyone to get involved.

“The Christmas Light Decoration Competition brings our community together and spreads festive cheer,” Mayor Curran said.

“We have so many wonderful displays around Griffith, and I can’t wait to see which ones stand out this year.

“Don’t forget to vote, and make sure to check out some of the other events happening around town.”

A range of exciting Glow2680 events will also be happening this month:

• The Rotary Christmas Hams Carnival and Glow 2680 Launch are on at Memorial Park tonight, Friday, December 6 from 5 pm;

• Sidewalk Sale tomorrow Saturday, December 7 from 9 am to 2 pm; and

The Star Shopper Campaign is still running. Shop local at participating businesses for your chance to win exciting prizes.

Remember to drop your gift donation at the Giving Tree at Griffith City Library for those less fortunate.
