Water Polo Returns To Griffith Regional Aquatic And Leisure Centre
Competent swimmers of all ages are encouraged to have a go at water polo at Griffith Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre this season.
The mercury is rising and the pool is looking more appealing by the day, and what better way to enjoy the pool than with a game of water polo?
That’s right, water polo sessions at Griffith Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre will commence on Thursday, November 14.
The weekly sessions will run from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm, beginning in the 50-metre outdoor pool at 6:15 for half an hour dedicated to learning skills and drills before a half-hour game of water polo.
Centre manager Craig Tilston encouraged competent swimmers of all ages to get involved.
“Water polo is a fantastic way to stay active and build skills,” Mr Tilston said.
“It’s accessible to everyone who is confident in the water and looking to try something new.
“We’re excited to offer this opportunity to our community.”
There is no additional cost to participate, just the standard pool entry fee.
So if you’re a water baby who is confident in the water, this is your opportunity to try a new, challenging and social sport.
