Western Riverina Arts Offers Small Grants

Western Riverina Arts (WRA) has offered Micro Grants to assist individuals and organisations as a result of funding from the NSW Government.

The grants 2023 round opens on Monday, September 18 and will remain open until the close of business on Monday, October 23 or until funds have been expended.

The following small grants are available:

  • Grants between $300 and $500; and
  • Five grants worth $1000.

WRA will consider a wide range of requests, including:

  • A small-scale project delivered;
  • Operational costs;
  • Workshop facilitation;
  • Equipment to help deliver arts practice online;
  • Access to training to upskill in online delivery; and
  • New ways of marketing or sharing an arts business.

To be eligible, applicants must be based in the WRA region which includes Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera and Murrumbidgee Shires.

Other eligibility criteria include:

  • You can be an individual, organisation or arts-based business;

  • Your request must be arts-related.

  • One grant per applicant will be awarded if successful.

  • You must not have any outstanding grant acquittals with WRA, including previous rounds of Micro Grants.

  • You need to be currently listed or have submitted an entry for your free artist listing on the Creative Riverina online database, a partnership with Eastern Riverina Arts.

The regional arts development organisation covering Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera and Murrumbidgee, Western Riverina Arts aims to connect creative communities, and support, develop and promote the arts in the region.
