What Do You Have To Say About The Plans To Revamp Memorial Gardens?
Griffith City Councillor and Chair of the Memorial Gardens Embellishment Committee, Laurie Testoni is excited to see plans for a revamp of Griffith Memorial Gardens move forward.
There are plans to revamp Memorial Gardens with new footpaths, new plantings and seating to enhance the area and create a more enjoyable space for visitors to the park.
Griffith City Council endorsed the landscape concept plan back in April and invited quotes to have implement the plan.
The Memorial Park Gardens Embellishment Committee met on September 6 and noted in the Minutes of the meeting a recommendation that they move forward with the more cost-effective option.
Those Minutes were tabled at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on October 10.
Chair of the Memorial Gardens Embellishment Committee, Councillor Laurie Testoni urged residents to view the plans and make comment.
“Committee members have done their best to ensure that the plan enhances the space while considering the $200,000 budget allocated for this project,” Councillor Testoni said.
“Please take a look at the plan and let us know what you think.” The Memorial Park Gardens Landscape Plan can be viewed at: griffith.nsw.gov.au/on-exhibition, with comments or submissions received until 4 pm, Friday, November 10.
